Barrett visits GM Lansing Delta Township for production milestone

LANSING, Mich. — State Sen. Tom Barrett, R-Charlotte, visited the General Motors Lansing Delta Township plant Friday as the company celebrated the production of its 3 millionth vehicle.

Barrett discussed the accomplishment with GM Manufacturing Executive Director Mike Trevorrow (top photo) and Darrell Kransz (bottom), who has worked for GM for 43 years and was chosen to drive the 2020 Chevrolet Traverse Premier Redline Edition off the line.

“Building 3 million of anything is quite an accomplishment, but manufacturing 3 million automobiles in less than 15 years is simply astounding,” said Barrett, R-Charlotte. “I offer my congratulations to Mike, Darrell and all those who continue to provide cars for the world and jobs for thousands of residents of mid-Michigan.”
